The reason for our closure was due to the illegal price fixing by the major pushchair and car seat suppliers. They were telling us what price to sell the pushchairs and car seats for and we disagreed, believing that the customer should receive the best "value for money"! We could offer this, as we were a very streamlined and efficient business, however the suppliers continued to threaten us and were determined the UK consumer SHOULD pay more. Regardless of the perception, no delays ever occured because of our business... However, because we refused to increase our prices, our deliveries became scarcer and scarcer. Therefore being stuck between increasingly upsetting our customers and an ever-increasing frustration with the major pushchair and car seat suppliers, our business became unviable. |
